The worryingly massive coaster is called Takabisha – the Japanese for “Dominant” – and stands tall at 141 foot at its highest point. It boasts two miles of track in total, seven loops, and its ride duration is 112 seconds in total – with the top speed clocking in at 62mph after a free-fall angle of 121 degrees.
And though we’re happy for Japan and their most amazing super-coaster, we can’t help but feel bad for the previous world’s-steepest-roller-coaster title owner, Yorkshire’s brilliantly named “Mumbo Jumbo” at Flamingo Land.
