Russian group jumps on bandwagon

A three-piece Russian band has taken its act on the road – by performing on a motorbike.

The Bremen Town Musicians were filmed performing while hurtling down a Russian highway on a bike fitted with a drum kit and guitar amp.

One member steered the vehicle, another played guitar while the third bashed out rhythms on the drums.

Moscow-based musician Alexander Ishutin said the contraption was his tribute to the days when Russian bikers customised their own vehicles.

Nowadays, motorcyclists tend go and purchase the biggest bike they can afford rather than spend time doing them up, he claims.

Ishutin hopes that the efforts of his mobile band will inspire fellow motorbike enthusiasts to be more adventurous.
