Pareidolia is a type of apophenia involving the finding of images or sounds in random stimuli. For example, hearing a ringing phone whilst taking a shower. The noise produced by the running water gives a random background from which the patterned sound of a ringing phone might be ‘produced’.

Kluchevskoy Volcano
October 31, 2009 — punjapitKluchevskoy is the biggest alive volcano in Eurasia – 4,750m over the sea level. It has a perfect, incredibly beautiful cone. Together with Kamen (Stone), Bezymyanny (Unnamed), Plosky (Flat) Tolbachik it forms the Kluchevskaya group of volcanoes. The volcano is about 8,000 years old.
Eurasia’s highest volcano, the Klyuchevskoy, on the Kamchatka Peninsula in Russia’s Far East, has shown signs of intensified activity throwing red-hot rocks to a height of 100 meters (about 330 feet). The Klyuchevskoy, which lies 220 miles north of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, is one of the largest active volcanoes in the world and reaches an altitude of 15,584 feet. It erupts about every 2 years.

Spa bosses in Starkenberg, Austria, claim that beer can treat skin conditions, blood circulation and can even help cure wounds.
The spa – part of a local brewery – contains seven 13ft long pools filled with beer which you can even ask to be served chilled or heated.

South Korean defects to North Korea, fulfills dream

A South Korean citizen fled to communist North Korea through heavily armed border posts, fulfilling his long-standing dream, Korean media reported on Tuesday.
South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) was quoted by the Yonhap news agency as saying the 30-year-old man, identified as Kang Dong-lim, might have defected through barbed wires at the border, which were discovered cut open.
